iTunes Scrobbling

This is a script developed by a fellow Universal Scrobbler user, drailskid. It is an iTunes Applescript plugin which automatically scrobbles any selected tracks in iTunes to your account when it is run. It will work as long as there is a keychain entry in the default keychain with the name "last.fm" with your username and password. Please be aware that these tools are still a work in progress. When I get time I will be updating them and cleaning them up.   • July 5th, 2012 - added another updated version of the iTunes script, provided by drailskid.
  • August 23rd, 2011 - added an updated version of the iTunes script, provided by drailskid.
  • July 10th, 2011 - removed the stupid advertising, it wasn't worth the annoyance. This work is now entirely funded by donations - if you use this tool regularly I would really appreciate it :-)
  • April 1st, 2011 - relocated to a new domain! Added a few little UI niceties in response to requests. Also, an iPhone app is on the way...
  • February 19th, 2011 - removed MySpace scrobbler as it no longer works with the new MySpace music player. Fixed some escaping issues.
  • June 18th, 2009 - added iTunes scrobbling script.
  • June 17th, 2009 - fixed problem with remembering username & password.
  • April 13th, 2009 - added scrobbling from another user, fixed errors with large list scrobbling and fixed ampersand scrobbling.
  • March 21st, 2009 - sorted out all the problems with UTF-8 characters messing things up. See the group for more details.
  • March 1st, 2009 - created the Universal Scrobbler Last.fm group. If you're a regular user, please join!
  • March 1st, 2009 - fixed annoying problems with special characters, more graceful handling of MusicBrainz errors and cleaned up the display a little.

Disclaimer: I believe in having accurate stats. It's this belief that gave birth to tools like this. However, they do have the potential to be misused (e.g. boosting artist stats). Please only scrobble songs that you have geniunely listened to. If you don't feel you can adhere to this rule, please leave this tool alone. I don't condone any other use of these tools.
